Nearly 25 years after the Sept. 11 attacks, the Flight 93 National Memorial is again shaping the nation’s security conversation --- this time over whether the United States is ready for modern threats that look far different than they did in 2001.

The House Intelligence Committee met with families and first responders at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville Monday before holding a meeting to consider the results of a yearlong review of the 9/11 Commission Report.

Officials are weighing which recommendations from the original 2004 report are still working, where gaps remain and whether the country is prepared for today’s threats. The 9/11 Commission Report led to major changes in how U.S. intelligence agencies share information and work together.
