Plan C | Fixing a USB Microscope off Ebay @Plan-C | Uploaded February 2016 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
These little USB microscopes are all over the internet and are sold under many different brands. The picture quality is good for the money (mine cost about £13). However, it broke after a while and was not being recognized as a device by any computer. It was giving a 'no device' or 'no camera' error in software. I figured it was a loose wire or cold solder join inside. It was and it was an easy fix but getting into it was a pain. I couldn't find any help on the internet so I made this video showing how I fixed it and how it is put together. Hopefully this will help somebody else. Good luck all.
