Do your client’s KB swings look like… 😬
Follow our teaching process below to tune up your client’s swings.
1). Teach The Deadlift.A strong, hinge focused deadlift is the foundation for a great kettlebell swing. A great deadlift makes for an easier (and safer) time teaching/learning the swing.
2). Teach The HikeBriefly taking time to teach the kettlebell hike can help educate the client how to pick up the kettlebell correctly and get more out of their initial reps of the swing.
3). Teach The Single SwingTeaching the single swing can allow the client to learn how to put the bell down properly while also slowing down the to work on the basics position and mechanics of the swing.
4). Continuous SwingFinally the continuous swing will allow the client to fine tune the rhythm, tension and timing of the movement to develop smooth and powerful KB swing.
Start with a bell that is heavy enough that it requires the hips but light enough that they can safely control it.
Swings are a versatile tool that is pretty simple to teach if you take your client through the basic steps.
