Every new band should do these five things. And if you have been around a while and haven't done these yet, get on it!

There are plenty of new band tips but these are the five most important, and failure to execute these ideas can make a huge difference in your ability, and length of time getting, to succeed.
1. Set goals and your plan for achieving them. Make sure the goals are SMART - Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Based. Plan the steps along the journey so you will know along the way you are making progress. Make sure everyone in the band is in agreement about these goals so everyone is aligned.

3. Let each member of the band 'own' a responsibility for the business of the band.
4. Commit to the JOY in the JOurneY. Excuse the corniness, but this is important anyway.
5. Be patient. Building a career in music can take a while, and inconvenient delays today can be important development time later.
