Over the last decade, FNaF 2 has gone from the least consistent game in the series to one of the most consistent games in the series.

Starting out just 2 days after the release of the game with the first ever completion of 10/20 Mode, the original strategy used by @OhLookItsFnaf was pretty similar to that of the one you’d use in the main 5/6 nights, where you buffer the mask to take it off as soon as a blackout finishes. Unfortunately because of how the characters can align themselves, it was incredibly luck based and unwinnable most times.

Fast forward to 2018 and we see the introduction of the Right Vent Camp strategy, formulated by @FNAFGameplayer and made popularly known by @AmbienceOfficial in 2021. You wait a small amount of extra time with the mask on after a blackout finishes to compensate for the time the mask couldn’t be worn at the start of the blackout to ward off the left vent animatronics and Mangle at the same time as the blackout. Unfortunately Toy Bonnie was not always warded off the same way and could still make the night unwinnable, although this was a massive improvement from the old strategy.

About 3-4 years later and a timer was introduced to the mix to play around the intervals of the game. Initially it was used to avoid monitor forcedowns and get a tad more wind time because of it, but over time it also became useful for countering Withered Foxy’s attack timers and ensuring that he never reaches a state where he can kill you.

After that saw the introduction of Minus 3 by @insstaa. Using a glitch where you can view 2 cameras at the same time, you can view Parts & Service (which stalls 3 withered animatronics by simply having the camera view on them) and Prize Corner simultaneously to remove (or “minus”) 3 animatronics from the night while still being able to wind the music box, and a lot more at that since 3/4 of the blackout animatronics are gone, freeing up time that would normally be eaten up by blackouts.

At the end of 2023 we then see quite possibly the most revolutionary strategy for FNaF 2 called Minus 7, pioneered by @Niko_Frost. In a similar vein to Minus 3, it eliminates 7 animatronics, although this time using no glitches. Using the light stalling mechanic on the cameras, you can completely freeze 7 of the animatronics on the cameras for the whole night. This is revolutionary for being the first strategy that completely removes any unwinnable RNG deaths due to Toy Bonnie being one of the stalled animatronics. This would be the easiest and most effective way to beat 10/20 Mode, were it not for BB. For whatever reason he is completely immune to light stalling and must be dealt with via the mask as normal. This makes it difficult to keep the animatronics stuck on cameras as the stun timer with the light is only just barely longer than the maximum wait time for a vent animatronic. This requires immense speed and skill, as one slip up and they’ll be set free. As mentioned before though, since Toy Bonnie is one of the stunned animatronics, if you can consistently keep up with the strategy, you’ll always win the night no matter what, which is a first and a biggee for FNaF 2.

Next is arguably the most consistent strategy that is based on the normal strategies - the Brayden strategy, made by Brayden (who knew?). It involves using a timer and timing your music box winds and camera flips to allow you to safely flash through a blackout using an oversight without the risk of Golden Freddy killing you. It allows you to wind considerably more than with the RVC or timer strats. At the same time it also makes use of holding down the right vent light whenever you can to prevent Toy Bonnie from getting there. While it doesn’t outright stop him, it makes him less frequent. These two factors allow you to survive with a more wound box for longer, and is probably the way you should go about beating this.

And finally, the most recent strategy, comes Minus 3 Toys from @ZachScream. It’s the same concept as Minus 3, but done on the toy animatronics instead of the withered animatronics. Because the toys cannot be stalled by simply having the camera view on them, you also need to flash the light on them. This also makes use of flashing through blackouts like in the Brayden strat. Like Minus 7, since Toy Bonnie is locked in place all night, you can’t die from any unwinnable RNG, although this does use a glitch to make work.

So with all of these strategies, I put together a playthrough of nights 1-6 + 10/20 Mode where each night uses a different strategy. I applied certain strategies to nights which would fit the most, like Minus 3 on night 3 where the withereds are introduced. Although I did Minus 7 on night 1 mostly because it’s the only night I can beat with Minus 7.
