When the Ward Baking Company Building was built in 1925, it joined several other West Baltimore bakeries including Schmidt’s and Hauswald’s. Join us today to learn about Ward’s, its famous Tip Top bread, and the state-of-the-art factories it built. The bakery on Edmondson Ave helped produce Ward’s products, and those of its partner groups, including Wonder Bread. Although not made here, Hostess’s Twinkies were also delivered out of this building. Thanks for watching and see you soon with another video.

This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Every week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
