This year, Carroll Park Golf Course is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Today it is a welcoming place for all golfers! Yet when it opened in 1923, it was restricted to white golfers only. It took an incredible effort by Black Baltimoreans to desegregate this course and the city’s other golf courses. We are delighted to be joined by Nathaniel Hicks, Jr., board member of First Tee of Prince George’s County, to tell us about connecting with young golfers in Baltimore today.
