Hallmark Cards, Inc. is a private, family-owned U.S. company based in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 1910 by Joyce Hall, Hallmark is the oldest and largest manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States.[2] In 1985, the company was awarded the National Medal of Arts.[3]
In addition to greeting cards, Hallmark also manufactures such products as party goods, gift wrap, and stationery. Hallmark acquired Binney & Smith in 1987, and would later change its name to Crayola, LLC after its well-known Crayola brand of crayons, markers and colored pencils. The company is also involved in television, having produced the long-running Hallmark Hall of Fame series since 1951, and launching the Hallmark Channel 50 years later (replacing an earlier joint venture with The Jim Henson Company, Odyssey Network). Weight Watchers International is an American company that offers various products and services to assist weight loss and maintenance. Founded in 1963 by Queens, New York, homemaker Jean Nidetch, it now operates in about 30 countries around the world, generally under names that are local translations of Weight Watchers. The core philosophy behind Weight Watchers programs is to use a science-driven approach to help participants lose weight by forming helpful habits, eating smarter, getting more exercise, and providing support.[2][3]
At 12 months Weight Watchers is associated with 2.6% more weight loss than those who were in a control group.[4]
The term weight-watcher, in the same sense, had circulated publicly for several years before the company was formed.[5] Weight Watchers commercial - 1991- under 200 calories](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/T5kJMdACmN0/mqdefault.jpg)

Pantene /pænˈtiːn/ is an American brand of hair care products owned by Procter & Gamble. The product line was first introduced in Europe in 1945 by Hoffmann-La Roche of Switzerland, which branded the name based on panthenol as a shampoo ingredient. It was purchased by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1985 in order for P&G to compete in the beauty product market rather than only functional products.[1]
The brands best-known product became the 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioning formula, Pantene Pro-V (Pantene Pro-Vitamin). The product became most noted due to an advertising campaign in the late 1980s in which fashion models said, Dont hate me because Im beautiful.[2][3] Kelly Le Brock and Iman gained notoriety as the first television spokeswomen to speak the line.[4] The line was criticized by feminists and became a pop-culture catchphrase for annoying narcissistic behavior.[5][6] Pantene Pro V- Elaine Irwin - Tv commercial - 1995](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Vbpq4L5pKCU/mqdefault.jpg)

![Hechts - tv commercial - 2002
Hechts, also known as Hecht Brothers, Hecht Bros. and the Hecht Company, was a large chain of department stores that operated mainly in the mid-Atlantic and southern region of the United States. The firm originated in Baltimore, Maryland.
By 2005, Hechts had some 81 stores in 19 markets in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Its locations in New Jersey, Delaware, and the majority of those in Pennsylvania were operated under the name of Strawbridges. Hechts administrative office was in Arlington, Virginia.
Hechts was founded and was operated for over a century (1857–1959) as a family firm. It was purchased in 1959 by The May Department Stores Company which in turn, was acquired by Federated Department Stores on August 30, 2005. On February 1, 2006, Federated dissolved the former May Company divisions, and the existing Hechts stores were divided between Macys East and Macys South, with stores in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Northern Virginia going to the former and stores in North Carolina, Tennessee, and the rest of Virginia (roughly much of the former Thalhimers territory) going to the latter. The replacement Hechts store in Chevy Chase, Maryland, took the Bloomingdales name.[citation needed] On September 9, 2006 the Hechts name was phased out in favor of the nationally known Macys.
