The Antique Wireless Association has dusted off the 1BCG transmitter replica that was built for the 75th anniversary of the Transatlantic tests of 1921 in preparation for the 100th anniversary of those historic tests.
We've built a new plate supply and filament supply from vintage parts (old but not 1921 vintage) and added some nice additional features like a vacuum keying relay and plate and grid meters.
With a type 204A oscillator tube and one of the possible 3 power amplifier tubes it output 200 watts into a dummy load on 160 meters, with a pretty nice note.
