Radio interference has been around as long as radio, but in the 1920s the growth of AM broadcasting along with the proliferation of new electrical devices created the perfect QRM storm. Around 1926/27 the Davis Troublefinder was introduced as a lightweight, highly portable tool for hunting down QRM.
