UP driver Craig Coker hit Laguna Seca in the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance for the first time for testing and baseline lap times as we continue to develop for the platform. We are very pleased with the results. Craig ran a 1: 35.07 on DOT street tires in the new car, compared to his best lap on the previous gen Model 3, which was 1: 35.7 and that was with a full Ascension-R build and on slicks. More than 1/2 second faster in the new car with no aero mods, less tire, full interior, and using factory Track Mode with no 3rd party boxes. This is a true representation of a modded daily driver with the factory drivetrain/battery warranty intact.
Can’t wait to go back and drop that time even further!
