First explorations with the new @biyiblip Gibber V3 - a beautifully bizarre and chaotic voice synthesizer that was originally created by Rob Hordijk and @biyiamez. ⁠

When I first turned on this instrument, my first reaction was to laugh a little because of its goofy babbling. And then, the voice broke apart into something much more solemn sounding -- all of a sudden, a completely different character. I was totally struck by what an amazing thing that is... an object that makes you laugh, brings out playfulness and joy... ⁠and draws you in to listen deeper and with more curiosity...⁠

This is such a huge part of why I'm so passionate about experimental sound design -- I love the exploration of new sonic territory; I love accidentally stumbling upon a sound so silly that it makes you cry with laughter; I love finding beautiful, tender corners within an instrument and harsh, intense edges...⁠

It's a daily exploration I truly doubt I'll ever grow tired of. ❤️⁠
