Firefighters were responding to a fire likely caused by lightning Monday morning at a historic house in downtown Little Rock, authorities said.

Crews received a call reporting a house fire at 1221 Louisiana St. around 8 a.m. Monday, Little Rock Fire Department Capt. Jeremy Barber said.

Preliminary call notes say the fire was likely caused by lightning, but the official cause of the fire is still under investigation, Barber said Monday morning.
