Finnish Artillerymen conducted a fire mission during cold-weather trainings on a range. This exercise designed to allow multiple batteries to train together in order to improve internal standard operating procedures and provides the opportunity for Soldiers to continue to develop their communication, tactics, and other warrior skills, Finland, 2016.

Video compilation of artillerymen during conducting live fire training exercises with the GIAT LG1, M102 and M119A3 105mm howitzers.
With a well-trained crew, a 105 mm-Howitzer can launch around ten shells per minute, in a distance of up to 15 kilometers.
Lightweight artillery can be easily airlifted by helicopter, or dropped by parachute, it is easier to change azimuth of fire and does not need a recoil pit.
