I'm building a 4 x 8 Plasma CNC and focusing on the slats where the sheet metal rests. The slats are 2" x 1/8-inch cut to width to fit within the bed resting in slots cut in 2-inch angle iron. And the slats will be at a consistent height using 1/2-inch bar stock for reference.
I purchased the Evolution miter saw for the sole purpose of building this Plasma CNC while knowing that it will be used for other metal project. It's a beast of a saw and quickly and accurately cold cuts through steel with the mild-steel blade.
