In this video I'm replacing HVAC with Simply Filter MERV 8 Air Filter. In my HVAC there are two lever screws to unlock with a flathead screwdriver which releases the access grill. Once the grill is down, I was able to remove the old air filter by flipping two rotating tabs out of the way. Installing the new filter required bending the filter a little. I also verified that the direction of airflow as noted on the filter by an arrow was pointing into the HVAC blower chamber. In case you didn't see the arrow, this particular filter has the reinforcing side on the side towards the blower chamber. The reinforcing side keeps the filter from being sucked into the blower chamber. Once installed, I flipped the tabs down to lock the filter in place. Time to replace the filter in 3 to 6 months.
