Finiki is a cute fishing village on the west coast of the island of Karpathos. It is situated in a small natural bay, its port is well-protected from the strong winds of the Aegean Sea. In the past Finiki was the main commercial port of the island, playing an important role in the daily life of the island and its people. Today its a picturesque port hosts lots of colorful fishing boats of local fishermen and some sailing boats during summer. Around the harbor there are a number of fish restaurants, renowned for the delicious fresh fish they serve.
