Ever notice a few sections that always frizz or fall apart no matter what you do?
That’s where targeted finger coiling comes in.
This isn’t about finger coiling your whole head. It’s about:
• Smoothing first, with or without a brush
• Letting natural clumps form from raking
• Finger coiling pieces that tend to go zigzag or fuzz out to tuck them into a curl clump
• Adding a little extra hold where hair needs it most (front pieces, grays, stretched sections)
For me, rake + scrunch alone makes certain sections wonky. A quick finger coil on just a few pieces helps those curls clump better and hold their shape longer without overworking the whole style.
Think selective, not perfection.
