Not all curl creams are worth it — but these three actually provide hold. Here's what makes each one different:
AG Re:Coil
-Best for curl activation
-Starch + protein ingredients make curls coil and clump while you style
-Light hold, medium conditioning
-Best for medium to coarse hair
-Warning: extremely concentrated — most people overapply
Innersense Air Dry Styling Cream
-Biggest surprise of my test — best hold of all six
-Most lightweight of the three
-Gel-like consistency with built-in heat protection
-Best for medium hold without the weight
Curlsmith Awestruck
-Best for coarse or rough finish hair
-Heavier conditioning, medium hold
-Got to Day 3 without refreshing
-Heat + UV protection included
-Best if your hair can handle higher conditioning
All three still work best topped with a gel if you want longer lasting results.
