There's a good chance those stretched, stringy curls aren't a product problem. They're a clumping problem.
What's actually happening:
If your curls aren't coming back together, you probably need more water, not more product.
If you're trying to scrunch multiple curls into one clump, you're straightening them out before they have a chance to form.
The fix is separating what was never one curl to begin with, then encouraging movement instead of forcing it.
That shake-and-bounce technique? Scrunching creates frizz. Movement creates curl.
