Some time ago I demonstrated how freeze spray can be used to find components that are overheating by freezing a portion of the circuit board where you suspect there may be a problem, and applying power to the board to see which component was the first to melt the frosty white ice on the outside of the component. After doing this I began to wonder about the potential of using a thermal camera to do the same thing.
In this video I demonstrate how a thermal camera can be used in a similar manner as the freeze spray technique.
