Finding My New Apartment in Siem Reap Cambodia
Thinking about renting in Siem Reap, Cambodia? I’ve been searching for affordable apartments and found plenty of options through the Facebook group “Cheap Rent Siem Reap.” Honestly, most things here — from housing to local services — are advertised on Facebook!
The properties I viewed were around $130 per month, plus utilities. Electricity is usually $0.25 per kWh, and water is either a flat $5 per month or metered (mine is $0.625 per unit). I also checked out Helen Apartments, which had two rooms available at the time, though prices weren’t clear.
There are so many places listed on Facebook groups, but keep in mind — without an agent like IPS, you’re pretty much on your own. And for me, not speaking Khmer has made the search a bit more challenging.
