Can’t travel far from home? Here’s a fantastic hike to Berlin Mtn, a 5.8 mile round trip out to NY’s highest peak outside of the Adirondacks and the Catskills. And better yet, less than an hours drive from Albany NY and great for all ages. This gem of a hike is on the Taconic Crest Trail, a 37 mile point to point trail from the VT/NY boarder straddling the NY/MA border to Rt 20 in NY. Lots of great hiking options on this lesser known trail. Hiking is allowed, but keep it close to home!
