Thatcher Park with its maze of trails, rock outcroppings and small waterfalls is a day hike I never get tired of. Located in Voorheesville, NY it’s close to ALBANY and surrounding areas. On a clear day you can see the Adirondacks, Taconics, Green Mountains and if it’s super clear...even the Whites! Lots of parking options keeps crowds to a minimum. In addition the NYS Long Path goes through this park. Something for everyone in the family from the old to young. Throw a weekend pack on to get some practice. Bring a lunch to enjoy. It’s always a great day at this state park!
