Excited about the FFVII remake?? I know I am. I just hope they don't overdo the rock/metal elements of the soundtrack - the OST was largely orchestral with rock/electronic elements, and I hope they honor that original feel with the remake.
For this cover, I went for a more flowing style but preserved the broken chords throughout most of the piece to keep up the momentum. Structurally, it doesn't stray far from the OST version. I used a celesta sound in place of the vibraphone, since I think it better captures the chorus effect and long resonance of the original MIDI instrument.
