Thats a bit too on the nose. (ie. hidden and έρεβος darkness)

Kaiser, the most infamous dummied monster of the SNES version, was probably intended to be available after defeating the eight dragons. This particular version is completely new; the dummy is still in the GBA coding, and remains unused.
One Barrier Change = one life (five lives total, 65,500 HP each); it changes to the next one when depleted of health or when it next Barrier Changes (every 30 ticks before its final phase). Throw up your defences and wait (and heal as needed) until its fifth Barrier Change before you attack (preferably with non-elemental defence-ignoring attacks). You WILL need Ribbons for Mind Blast in the final phase, so if it uses Cloudy Heaven, reset. (Addendum: I havent tried this, but you could theoretically bypass its attacks in its first four phases with the Quick trick as seen in the Red Dragon video. Could be useful in the Soul Shrine.)")

You may have seen Ice Dragons duplicate strategy in action with Vector Lythoses in Kefkas Tower. Of course, those were piss-easy random encounters, and the dragon is not. (Granted, Ice Dragon isnt DIFFICULT—Ice Shields are easy enough to farm—but still.)")

ソル, ie. Sun Cannon, _not_ soul. Much later on theres an enemy called ソウルイーター Soul Eater (note the extra ウ), so this translation is a slight stuff-up.
This and the Sergeant/Iron Claw fight in Karnak are the two forced EXP fights that matter (the Bartz-only Goblins at game start are completely unavoidable, and all other forced fights either give no EXP or can have it circumvented); 2/2/2/3 (all party members gain EXP) gives you higher party average but more evenly spread; 2/1/1/4 gives you lower party average but Faris absorbs all EXP and is of a slightly higher level (this does matter gameplay-wise in potentially significant ways).")
