On a soundtrack with so many amazing tracks, I always felt that Under The Stars got overshadowed by a lot of other absolute bangers. It only appears for one mandatory story battle in the original game, but does get a lot of exposure as the opening fight in the final Return to Ivalice from Final Fantasy XIV (which I may have run more times than I care to admit to to get the full Agrias and Oracle glam sets)
When GameGrooves announced a Tactics piano album to line up with the remake's release I, someone who enjoys FFT a perfectly normal amount, knew I had to get involved. I do have the slight issue of not being able to play piano in the slightest, so I teamed up with my pal endlessrepeat once more and we both really dug this track so it worked out nicely!
This track landed in a really nice range for clarinet for both melody and harmony/descant lines with the piano taking the lead. And since a slower piano version of this track plays during the War of the Lion's cutscene at the church, I decided it was only proper to fold in some nods to Delita and Ramza's themes.
