This is a video response to my buddy Joe at Feral Woodcraft dealing with multiple tinder sources working together.
Instead of processing a single tinder source to create a fire I am using 3 separate items mixed together to make the fire easier to start.
My flash tinder source is cattail fluff It is highly flamible but goes out almost as quickly as it starts.
My intermediate tinder source is cedar bark shavings. I scraped the bark off of a limb and fluffed it up. This will catch the flame from the cattail and extend that flame to allow my fuel source, in this case cedar shavings, to catch.
These three materials when mixed will light easily with a ferro rod and should make your job of starting a fire a bit easier.
Don't limit yourself to just these tinders! Look for items with the same properties that these tinders have and try this out for yourself!

Here is Feral Woodcraft's original video that inspired me to throw this video together.
