The early '60s saw the brief appearance of some of Fender's most revered amps. These days they're referred to as the 'brown-panel' or 'brownface' amps. These included models such as the Pro, Bandmaster, Concert and this one, the Super. Gorgeous sounding 'Phase Shifting Harmonic Tremolo' was a big bonus as were the sublime look and amazing clean tones of this 6L6 powered 40W amp. I can vouch for the '62 Super's authentic tone having played a few originals in my time in various studio sessions. I favour this amp for its woody and vintage sounding cleans but the Harmonic Tremolo is equally enticing as is its overdriven tone if you're in a position to gun the volume a little. The '62 Super is definitely an important jewel in Fender's crown and will no doubt be high on the list for Fender amp enthusiasts all over the globe.
