In this episode of Burbex, Brin is joined by his loyal canine companion Qinqin as they explore a huge abandoned beach resort in Beihai, China. Although the buildings have been royally thrashed, and large parts of the main building are burnt to a cinder, Brin still makes it to the top for an awesome sunset view of the bay. On the way down however, Brin meets with a nasty accident which makes him question his faith in the ancient gods of urbex.

In this classic episode of Burbex, Brin takes us back to The Suicide Forest where hes exploring FIVE haunted hotels. After the reputation of Aokigahara, also known as the Sea of Trees or The Suicide Forest, started to ramp up, tourism in the area took a nosedive, leaving many villages and especially hotels abandoned.
The Japanese tend to be very respectful of these places, and so mostly they are untouched. Inside there is whiskey, computer games, and old laser disc systems all left behind, but be careful because there is always the sense that someone is following you. Brin even finds a couple of corpses in one of the hotels.

In this somewhat relaxing episode of Burbex, we find Brin exploring an abandoned Type 35 submarine, and three warships in a tiny blue rowboat. This battle formation belongs to the Peoples Liberation Army Navy, better known as The PLA Navy, which used these vessels for training after they were taken out of active service.
Whats special about these ships is that they were all designed and built in China in the 1970s, which was a big step away from the previous paradigm of borrowing and outright stealing designs from the Soviets. The ships have been left here to rot by the PLA, and its not long before Brin finds an empty rowboat sans oars, and makes his way around the bay for a leisurely exploration.
