INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 tbsp za'atar
1/2 tbsp smoked paprika
pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
pinch of salt
3 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
DIRECTIONS:
1. Crush the za'atar, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic/onion powder, and salt in a pestle and mortar (or blend in a spice grinder)
2. In a large stock pot, heat up the coconut oil on medium high heat
3. When the oil just begins to smoke, add the popcorn kernels and give the pot a shake to coat the kernels. Then, place on the lid
4. When you hear the popping become more frequent, turn the heat down to just under medium. The popcorn is done when the popping becomes less frequent
5. Carefully remove the lid and transfer the popcorn into a large bowl
6. Add the powdered flavouring and toss to coat the popcorn
