Transport Minister Steven MacKinnon announces the launch of the Commodities Sectoral Support Program. The $100-million initiative aims to reduce the cost of transporting Canadian steel between provinces.

The minister is joined at the news conference in Hamilton, Ont., by Liberal MPs Aslam Rana (Hamilton Centre), Lisa Hepfner (Hamilton Mountain) and John-Paul Danko (Hamilton West–Ancaster–Dundas), as well as Andrea Horwath (Hamilton mayor) and Ron Bedard (president and CEO, ArcelorMittal Dofasco).
