At a news conference in Winnipeg, Liberal MP Terry Duguid announces that the federal government has awarded a $10.2-million contract for the design of a new medical countermeasures laboratory facility in the city. The contract has been awarded to Winnipeg-based Architecture49 Inc., with the facility expected to be completed in 2033.

Also speaking at the event are Liberal MP Doug Eyolfson (Winnipeg West), infectious disease researcher Dr. Keith Fowke, and Manitoba Innovation Minister Mike Moroz.
