At a news conference in Calgary, Industry Minister Mélanie Joly announces $50 million in funding for the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN), to support projects adopting technological innovations in the agricultural sector.

Also speaking are Corey Hogan (Liberal MP for Calgary Confederation), William Ghali (vice president of research at the University of Calgary) and Darrel Petras (CEO of CAAIN).

Minister Joly and MP Hogan respond to questions on the ongoing trade dispute with the United States, and relations between the Alberta and federal governments.
