[New Jack Swing/Funk/Soul/RnB/R&B/Electro Funk] Here is Roger Troutman II aka Lynch with his first and only album (under the name Lynch) titled: A Pinch Of Lynch. EXCELLENT New Jack Swing album that unfortunately fell under the radar, which is quite disappointing when you learn about his familys history in the music business. Roger Troutman, Jr. is the the son of ZAPPs frontman and talkbox inventor, Roger Troutman. He was born in 1970 and hailed from Minnesota. He joined his fathers band in 1987 where he was taught first hand to manipulate and master the talkbox. Having worked alongside his father, he gained the experience of performing in front of adoring fans around the world, as well as to learn the craft of songwriting, and musicianship. All these skills culminated in him to record this album with Capitol Records. In addition to this album with Lynch performing keyboards, horns, lead and backgrounds vocals, he also had some incredible musicians backing him up. Those musicians included his father on keyboards, synthesizers, guitar, bass, percussions, and background vocals, uncles Terry and Lester Troutman played bass guitar and drums respectively...oh and his father produced this whole album. The track Heartbreaker (Track 5) was first recorded by ZAPP on their 1983 Warner Bros. Records Gold certified album, III. Magic Spell (Track 8) is a song that was originally recorded by then ZAPP member, vocalist/guitarist, Bad Bobby Glover, for his 1984 self titled album yet the only difference is the songs title, on his album it is called: Your Spell. This album is an extremely hard to find item, at least the Compact Disc is. So if you should find it ANYWHERE, grab it quickly. Unfortunately, Roger Lynch Troutman, Jr. never reached his full potential as one would expect. He died of a head injury in January of 2003, he was only 33 years old. This album was released under Capitol Records 89.

[Synth Pop/AOR/Electronic/Pop/Rap/House/New Jack Swing/OST] Here is the complete Various Artists Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album for the 1990 Joseph Barbera & William Hanna film: Jetsons: The Movie. An EXCELLENT OST soundtrack that is just so good from start to finish. Let me begin by saying that one of the best things from this movie is the soundtrack ...hands down. Its no surprise that a lot of time and effort went into the music and it clearly shows as it is filled to the brim with well produced typical 80s songs & sounds that just bleed a bit into the 90s, lol. One of the memorable standouts on this soundtrack is the late 80s mall singing sensation Tiffany Darwish aka Tiffany (I Think Were Alone Now) whom gives it her all on the three tracks that she performs. She literally goes from singing a personal song about lost love with I Always Thought Id See You Again (Track 4), to a passionate uplifting rock anthem for keeping love together in You And Me (Track 3), to finally a love song about your home, your family, and the unconditional love you receive from both with her power ballad titled Home (Track 9). I am a big fan of Tiffany and believe me her contributions to this album are some of her best work (Even she herself has stated that the songs she did for this movie are her favorite pieces of music that she has ever performed, lol). With that said as many people know, Tiffany was also cast to voice Judy Jetson in the film, and this decision proved to be very controversial at the time, as it meant that Jetsons: The Movie was the first ever piece of Jetsons material to not feature Janet Waldo as the voice of Judy. While Tiffany does a credible job overall, it is unfortunate that the original voice actor was dropped to accommodate a pop singer who just happened to be trendy at the time. The music on the other hand I just cant complain as the other songs on this soundtrack are just as good as Tiffany s. For example: Shane Sutton s songs: Stayin Together & With You All The Way (a cover of a New Edition track) are really impressive as he was only 10 or 11 when he sang these songs. Not to mention XXL s Were The Jetsons (Jetsons Rap) (Track 1) kinda has that RUN DMC vibe when they performed their song Ghostbusters in 1989s Ghostbusters 2, lol. While the soundtrack is awesome, not the same can really be said about the movie. Jetsons: The Movie is a 1990 American animated musical comic science fiction film produced by Hanna-Barbera and released by Universal Pictures on July 6, 1990. Based on the 60s cartoon series The Jetsons, the film stars George OHanlon, Penny Singleton and Mel Blanc. Sadly in 1989, both OHanlon and Blanc died during production of the film, which in the end was dedicated to both their memories. The film was considered a flop upon release, opening at #4, behind Die Hard 2, Days of Thunder and Dick Tracy with a box office total of only $20.3 million in the United States. Eventually the film gained a cult following on home video releases and has become praised for what it is. Regardless, I love this film because the entire vibe of it feels like it is infused with a marathon of Hannah Barbara cartoons and an MTV music video top 10 list, haha. Overall, this soundtrack is really quite amazing, the tracks are catchy, most are quite heartfelt, and despite having a dated sound, they give the film a weird timeless charm that people seem to enjoy for decades to come. This complete OST soundtrack was released under MCA, MCA Records 90.

[Synth Pop/Funk/RnB/R&B/Electronic/Soul/Slowjam/Electro] Here is the super rare and highly sought after song titled: Say It by the iconic musician / producer Paul Anka that was originally planned to be used in the 1987 Kevin Costner film: No Way Out (before it was decided that Anka would perform a 1 min post production live version that is heard in the film). The words and music for this song were produced by Paul Anka and the legendary Richard Marx (Right Here Waiting / Endless Summer Nights). The song is featured / played when characters Tom Farrell (Kevin Costner) and Susan Atwell (Sean Young) are driving in a red 1986 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Quadrifoglio for a romantic weekend getaway together. Many No Way Out fans (including fans of Paul Anka) have been looking tirelessly for this song as it is not included on any of Paul Anka s albums. Not for nothing but i think that this is the very first original demo recorded version with possibly Richard Marx signing and Anka backing whereas in the film it is a live version done by Anka (i cant be so sure or confirm this but never the less this is the original version of the song). The video / The Pentagon in general is a nod to the setting, opening credits and the end credits of the film where they showcase aerial coverage of Washington D.C, Arlington, Virginia, and Pentagon City, Virginia. Im not going to lie but this song fits pretty well with the aerial aesthetic of our nations capital. Paul Albert Anka is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actor. Anka became famous during the late 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s with hit songs like Diana, Lonely Boy, Put Your Head on My Shoulder, and (Youre) Having My Baby. He wrote such well-known music as the theme for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and one of Tom Joness biggest hits, Shes a Lady, as well as the English lyrics on Claude François and Jacques Revauxs music, for Frank Sinatras signature song, My Way, which has been covered by many including Elvis Presley. In 1983, he co-wrote the song I Never Heard with Michael Jackson. It was re-titled and released in 2009 under the name This Is It. An additional song that Jackson co-wrote with Anka from the 1983 session, Love Never Felt So Good, was released in 2014 on Jacksons posthumous album Xscape (the song was also released by Johnny Mathis in 1984). As for Say It, Anka allowed Lisa Nilsson to perform her version in 1989, though it doesnt hold a candle to Anka s & Marx s original version from No Way Out. As time progressed, Anka has become a huge staple for the music industry with many albums showcasing his impressive catalog of duets and solo performances. However, Paul s 87 recording with Richard Marx of Say It has been nearly impossible to obtain so i am happy to upload it for you guys and finally end your searches once and for all. This song was released under Paulanne Music, Inc. and Chiboy Music 87.

[New Wave/Synth Pop/Pop/Electronic] Here is the British trio PhD with their 1981 self titled first album: Ph.D. Excellent New Wave album that was HUGE in 1982 around Europe but not in the states. People in Europe actually classify this album as one of the best albums from the 1980s and hey i cant lie its pretty good. A shame it really didnt make an impact in the united states, the synth work on these tracks is excellent and it surely would make Giorgio Moroder jealous in my opinion, lol. The band took its name from the initial letters of its three members last names; Phillips, Hymas and Diamond. The groups members were: Jim Diamond, Simon Phillips, and Tony Hymas, and they had a UK Top 10 hit with my favorite track on the album titled: I Wont Let You Down (Track 5) in April 1982 although the song had been a hit the previous year throughout Europe. Sadly, vocalist Jim Diamond died from a pulmonary edema while he was sleeping on October 8th, 2015. This album was released under WEA Records, Voiceprint Records, and Atlantic Records 81.

[Disco/Funk/Soul] Here is the OST soundtrack for the B-movie slasher film: Prom Night. I know this strays from the usual music i tend to upload but i love this soundtrack a lot. Its got this Studio 54 vibe to it, and every track is PURE Disco from 1979/1980. The movie stars Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) and Leslie Nielsen (Airplane/Naked Gun). Despite receiving generally negative reviews from film critics as well as criticism from Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert over its advertising campaign, the film went on to become Canadas highest-grossing horror film of 1980, earning nearly $15,000,000 in the United States....it even spawned a remake in 2008. This soundtrack was composed by Paul Zaza and Carl Zittrer, with additional writing by Bill Crutchfield and James Powell. It also has songs by Blue Bazar and Gordean Simpson. Under orders from producer Peter Simpson, Zaza wrote a series of disco songs over a five-day period, closely copying the original tracks that were intended to be used in the film. This resulted in a copyright lawsuit for $10 million, which was eventually settled for $50,000; thus it was only released in Japan on LP and cassette (Btw, this is the LP Vinyl). A 7-inch single of All Is Gone (Track 1&6) and Forever (Track 10) was also released; however, neither of these songs appears in the film. :/ This soundtrack album is highly sought after by fans of the film and disco fans alike (which is why Anthonys Channel has uploaded it for everyone to listen to). This complete OST soundtrack was released under RCA Records 80.
UPDATE: In May of 2019, Perseverance Records finally released the first official CD of the Prom Night soundtrack. Perseverance worked closely with Carl Zittrer and Paul Zaza to locate and unearth the original masters and all score music recorded for the film including unreleased disco songs and score not used in the final production, never heard before anywhere. This video however showcases the ORIGINAL 1980 vinyl album (which for roughly 40 years was the only official release of the soundtrack, enjoy!).

[Synth/Ambient/Stage & Screen/Various Artists/Score/OST] Here is the complete La-La Land Records soundtrack release to Paramount Pictures horror sequel: FRIDAY THE 13th PART VIII – JASON TAKES MANHATTAN (1989). This soundtrack was released by La-La Land Records & Paramount Pictures with only 2000 copies in existence. The score is entirely composed by well acclaimed musician Fred Mollin and is the first FRIDAY film score at the time to not be composed or co-composed by Harry Manfredini. This release also features four bonus tracks from the film: The Darkest Side of the Night (Instrumental), Broken Dream, J.J.s Blues and Livin In The City. All four of these bonus tracks remained unreleased for 30 some odd years ...until now. I do remember reading somewhere that according to Stan Meissner, Broken Dream by Terry Crawford and J.J.s Blues were never finished and what you hear in the film is pretty much all that there is. Never the less it is great that Stan Meissner and Fred Mollin finally released them in its entirety from their personal archives for this release. Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan is a 1989 American slasher film written and directed by Rob Hedden, and starring Jensen Daggett, Scott Reeves, Peter Mark Richman, and Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees. It is the eighth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise and follows Jason as he stalks a group of high school graduates on a ship en-route to New York City. Fred Mollin is an American and Canadian record producer, musician, film and TV composer, music director, music supervisor, and songwriter. He has produced records for Jimmy Webb, Johnny Mathis, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lamont Dozier and America, and has composed music for Beverly Hills 90210, Forever Knight, Hard Copy, and Friday the 13th (movies and television). Overall, when it comes to composing FRIDAY THE 13th PART VIII, Mollin pushes forward his inventive use of industrial percussion, synth pads, rhythmic looping, synthesized strings, woodwinds and skull-pounding dissonance, resulting in a unique and notable work of electronic scoring. This complete OST soundtrack score was released under La-La Land Records & Paramount Pictures 89 (2021).
