The Trans-Catalina Trail is an ultra popular California hiking destination, and for good reason. The 40 mile trail crosses the entire island of Catalina, climbing 8,000FT across rolling green hills with sweeping coastal views and epic ridgelines. Most hikers will turn this into a 4-5 day backpacking trip, stopping to camp at Little Harbor, Two Harbors, and Parson's Landing. But being LiveHardxLoveHard, we wanted to push ourselves and see if we could turn this into a two day fastpacking adventure. Turns out, even though there was a little (ok a lot) of suffering, our route was completely uncrowded, offering two days of beauty and solitude hiking through one of the most beautiful destinations in Southern California.
