Winter in Yosemite! Our favorite season to hike in the park :) Yosemite is known for its luxurious snowshoe trails, one of the most popular being Dewey Point. However, in true Live Hard x Love Hard style, we set a massive goal for ourselves of snowshoeing all the way out to Taft Point, which would make the day a 16.5+ mile round trip snowshoe from Badger Pass along the Pohono Trail. There was zero beta on the route since the massive snowstorms, and we had no idea if it would even be possible with deep snow and route-finding, but there was one thing we knew for certain: this was bound to be one perfect snowy sufferfest - our first of the season!

If you're looking for ideas for Yosemite winter hiking or activities, doing just the snowshoe to Dewey Point is a great trail for a pretty broad range of skill levels. We wouldn't recommend attempting to snowshoe all the way to Taft Point without the proper navigation and route-finding experience, plus plenty of endurance and safety + emergency gear.
