My Point of View: In business, credibility can be created before competence is tested. We can sell them on trusting us by engineering the first impressions we want, so let's be intentional and let's be sharp.
🎩 Classic Menswear Conventions – Know the Rule to Break the Rule
#56. Q: What’s the rule for square toe shoes in business?
Don’t wear square toe shoes for business. For casual occasions, they may be a great look, but for business they are too much. “Go for orthodox shapes, rather than fashion shapes”, would be the guide for what you wear during the week. On the weekend you can go for it and square up as much as you like.
👔 The 4 Vs of Executive Presence: Visual, Vocal, Verbal, Value
🎯 Who am I meeting and what impression do I want to create:
Morning meeting with a multinational client in the IT industry headquartered in San Jose, to talk about the next round of training here in Japan
Dale Carnegie International Trainer Quality Board Trainer on-line Summit
Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce event hosted at Baker Mackenzie in Azabudai
On-line meeting with a medical industry multinational client based in Germany, to discuss the training we will deliver for them in Japan.
I wanted to stand out at the Chamber networking event and be memorable as a professional.
