My Point of View: In business, credibility can be created before competence is tested. We can sell them on trusting us by engineering the first impressions we want, so let's be intentional and let's be sharp.
🎩 Classic Menswear Conventions – Know the Rule to Break the Rule
#53. Q: What’s the rule for suspenders?
If you are going to wear suspenders, make sure to never use clips and only ever use buttons which have been attached to the trousers for that purpose. Never wear suspenders with trousers which have belt loops – either wear a belt or wear suspenders and don’t try and mix them up. Also be careful about matching the colour of the suspenders with your outfit.
👔 The 4 Vs of Executive Presence: Visual, Vocal, Verbal, Value
🎯 Who am I meeting and what impression do I want to create:
Video shoot with Laura Bonamici former Global Head of Marketing at Fujitsu who was my previous guest #267 on Japan's Top Business Interviews. I heard her speak at an Italian Chamber event and wanted to capture the content before she leaves Japan and relocates back to Europe.
Lunch at the Tokyo American Club
Client meeting in Akasaka Mitsuke
German Chamber event featuring Doru Tasca CEO of ZF Group Japan as one of the speakers and I had Doru as my recent guest on my podcast Japan's Top Business Interviews.
I needed to look sharp for the video shoot and also the networking event at the German Chamber.
