Never, ever. It looks plain bad. Also, be careful with bags with shoulder straps, because the pressure on the suit shoulder is not good for the suit to retain its shoulder shape.

I was expecting a big crowd of Italian businesspeople for the event and hoped to find some new clients

Intention outcomes: A very disappointing turnout at the Italian Chamber event but despite being an Aussie, I was the best dressed Italian guy there! I did meet one possible client, so let's see what happens.
