Fanjingshan, or Mount Fanjing, is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the Wuling Mountains of south-west China, the site is sacred to Buddhists and also an important biosphere reserve. Although we didn't have the best weather on the day we visited (a fairly common occurrence on this mountain, I'm told!), we still had an enjoyable day climbing around, enjoying the scenery and exploring the Buddhist landmarks.
