Still recovering from his fresh encounter with Kellogg, the Sole Survivor is given no respite, as upon exiting Fort Hagen, a giant airship is seen flying overhead announcing the Brotherhood of Steel's invasion into the Commonwealth. This piques the Sole Survivor’s interest enough to search out this flying vessel now hovering above the Boston Airport.
As he travels through the ruins of the Commonwealth, many distress frequencies are heard taking up the Boston airspace, with one in particular, being military-esque in origin. This particular military group have come under attack by a roving pack of feral ghouls and it will be up to the Sole Survivor as to whether or not they can beat back the horde.
At the heart of the distress call lies the Cambridge Police Station. Here, the Sole Survivor encounters the Brotherhood of Steel’s charismatic and enigmatic Paladin Danse.
