A few people suggested I try the MMC5 expansion chip, so I decided to use it in this song, which already features a lot of polyphony.
So with the two additional square wave channels, I could feature various parts that normally I'd have to do differently (like real chords instead of arpeggios), and I chose to use one of the square wave channels as the bass. The triangle wave, which usually is the bass, was instead used for parts of the melody and the percussion.

Nintendo (I'm 90% certain it's another Masaru Tajima composition, but like 10% of me thinks it could be composed by Yumi Takahashi, who was clearly very influenced by his work - I'm 100% sure it's between these two).
