Mario Kart DS is known for quite a few music tracks but I feel that one of the most underrated ones is mission mode's boss theme. Written by Shinobu Nagata, it shares many similarities to her contributions to Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine, particularly in the bass. Compare it with Bogmire or the Miniboss theme from Sunshine and see what I mean.
For this cover instead of doing chiptune, I felt that I wanted to expand on the original and style it more like a remaster. If you like this style, let me know and I'd love to do more like it.
