Scenes from the circa 1946 Winter Carnival in Fairbanks, Alaska, include crowds on the Chena River and Cushman Street Bridge, sled dog races, several Alaska Native mushers, photographers, crowning of the carnival queen on an elaborate stage, and a brief glimpse of musher Leonhard Seppala. Some of the buildings in the background include the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Joseph's Hospital, the Pioneer Hotel, the Model Café, the Masonic Temple, and Samson's hardware store (Color/Silent/16mm film).
