This is Part 2 of our video about Pakistani F-104 Starfighter in the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War. Our story continues on 07 September when Indian Air Force launched counter-attacks against Pakistani airbases. Squadron Leader Ajjamada Devayya took off as a spare in his Mystere IVA. As he and other Mysteres were retreating after the attack, Devayya was intercepted by an F-104 flown by Flight Lieutenant Amjad Hussain. A controversial dogfight came of of this encounter where as you can expect, each side has its own version.
Starfighters were also able to perform a couple of night interceptions against Indian Canberra bombers. There's no shortage of controversy there either.
