The biggest difference is the lighting, thanks to the newly added ray traced dynamic diffuse global illumination. This is especially noticeable at sunset and at night. All the RT features together can make a pretty significant difference in some cases. I especially like the way wet surfaces look with ray tracing turned on. There is a lot more variation in the way reflections are depicted based on how wet the surface is. For example, just like in real life, a damp track does not offer mirror-like reflections. With RT on, you only get those mirror-like reflections in puddles, just like in real life. The reflections themselves are also far more realistic, whereas in SSR they have a weird glow that looks too cartoonish. Overall, ray tracing adds a greater sense of depth and dimensionality to the image.
F1 23 supports the following ray-tracing features:
➤ Ray-Traced Shadows
➤ Ray-Traced Reflections
➤ Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion
➤ Ray-Traced Transparent Reflections
➤ Ray-Traced Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination
