Ezra’s Eagle has captured the imagination of many in the LDS community. It describes a prophesy written in the 11th and 12th chapters of the Aopocraphal book of Esdras (which is another spelling of Ezra) that describes what some believe a sequence of events leading up to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and can be used to pinpoint the timeline of these last days events.
Ezra's Eagle comes from the 2nd book of Esdras chapter 11 with some of the interpretation of the vision in chapter 12. This is an apocryphal book. That means it isn’t part of the official cannon of scripture. Apocryphal books can be useful according to the church but must be read carefully.
