California, extreme heat is here; let’s stay safe together!

CDPH Director Dr. Erica Pan shares quick tips on staying cool, staying hydrated and checking in on loved ones during high‑temperature days.

Know the signs of heat illness so you can act fast:
- Heavy sweating or dizziness
- Headache or nausea
- Hot, dry skin or confusion
- Feeling faint or extremely tired

If you or someone nearby shows these symptoms, move to a cooler place, sip water and get medical help if symptoms worsen.

We can protect each other. 💛 Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for your community.
