Aquarebell Tools for large planted aquariums

Trimming plants in a 160-cm-tall aquarium can be tricky. For this, I use a pair of Heissner pond shears.

At first glance, they look a bit clunky and old-fashioned, but they’ve been working reliably for decades. I first used them a good 20 years ago. I’m glad they’re still being made.

They fit comfortably in the hand and are lightweight. At the end, there’s a sharp blade that can be replaced.

They’re great for removing leaves from plants with sturdy stems, such as Echinodorus, Anubias, or Anubias.
